When I was little we had a fig bush in our front yard. We ate so much fresh fig I stopped eating it for a loooong time. The fig was so sweet and delicious! Well while perusing my favorite sites for recipe ideas I came across one that had a homemade fig jam. Sounds fancy right?

The best way that I've ever had figs? Make a lengthwise hole through a pork loin and using a plastic bag, pipe the fig filling inside the cavity. Pepper the outside, sear and roast. Yuuuuum!
I think I am going to make a red wine reduction sauce with it...can't wait to make this "poke"
