Name five kitchen rules you were always given when you first learned to cook.
- Always wash your hands
- Clean as you go (I either make a sink full of hot soapy water or make sure the dishwasher is unloaded to make my cleaning process easier. Plus I start with a clean kitchen...clean makes me happy)
- Unless you are cooking a soup, stew, etc. stay in the kitchen while you cook
- Don't throw liquid on a grease fire (Not saying I have ever had a grease fire but it is good to know! lol)
- Always always always wash meats, fruits and vegetables before cooking or eating. (When I was little this rule could get you smacked if it wasn't followed! lol)

I only have one to add: don't lick the spoon and put it back in the pot.
Unfortunately, I still break that rule because I'm still used to cooking for only me.
6. Taste your food as you guy, no one likes bland food :-/
Washing of the hands is a definitely I'm so germ-phobic. And many people don't seem to wash their meat before cooking it, but growing up in a Haitian household it was a must!
1st time at your site, love it :)
Mimi - thanks for visiting my little spot of Blogger!
I think I ma a bit germaphobic too
